The website uses four types of cookies: The first is a session cookie, normally called MoodleSession. It is an essential cookie and the browser must be configured to accept it in order to ensure the validity of user authentication while navigating between pages. When the browser is closed or the user logs out, the cookie will be deleted both from the browser and from the server. The second cookie, generally called MoodleID, is used only to remember the user’s username within the browser. Thanks to this cookie, when the user returns to the same website, the username field on the login page will already be filled in. Refusing this cookie does not cause any issues; the only inconvenience is that the username will need to be entered again on the login page. The third cookie is called MoodleTenant. The function of this technical cookie is to identify a platform user as belonging to a specific tenant among those active on the platform. E-KnowLab is a multi-tenant platform, meaning that it contains multiple tenants, i.e. isolated sub-environments within a single Moodle installation. The fourth cookie is EU_Cookie_Law_Consent. This is a technical cookie whose function is to store whether the user has accepted or rejected the cookie notice on the platform during the very first access, when the privacy policy drafted for compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679, also known as the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), is displayed.
